In recent years studies have shown that most commercial shoes are less than ideal for our feet, and in turn our knees, hips, backs and overall well being suffer. As it turns out, our feet were designed for walking as they are and don't need the extra padding, cushioning and shaping that most commercial shoes so lovingly provide for them.
Knowing what we do, but surrounded by the "no shoes, no shirt, no service" mentality, what's a modern person to do? Our answer: create simple shoe styles that form to your feet rather than the other way around. We provide a broad foot bed with a wide toe box giving your toes plenty of room to spread out and wiggle. Our leather is supple and breathable and best of all, it stretches where your feet want it to. The simplicity of our styles allow for optimal foot movement and the natural stride that your feet have been begging for.
At the Aurora Shoe Company our soles are produced by Vibram, a company that understands the benefits of nearly-barefoot living. We love the way our Vibram soles provide just the right amount of slip resistance and grip while still retaining the flexibility that healthy feet and bodies require.
